About the Opportunity: A public pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to support the day-to-day accounting procedures while reporting directly to the Controller.

Duration: Starts mid-June and will run 3 months in duration minimum

Location: 100% Remote

Compensation: $50-65/HR W2
Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Scope:

• Prepares and posts month-end close journal entries.
• Prepares and assists with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assists in other month end close responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist with the clinical trial accrual accounting processes
• Supports internal and external reporting processes and the SEC function
• Act as a utility player and ensure monthly and quarterly deadlines are met
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Responds to inquiries from the Director of Finance, Controller, and other accounting/finance and department managers regarding financial results, special reporting or adhoc tasks.
• Assists with development and implementation of new procedures and tools to enhance the workflow processes of the department and support the Controller

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar required
• Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience, required
• Clinical trial accruals experience preferred
• GL and month-end close management and review experience, required
• Experience with Netsuite, preferred
