Description

SAIC is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group in our Chantilly, VA office. This group provides specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. Our program supports the research and development of the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.

Unique Duties:
  • Work with government technical and contracts staff developing acquisition strategies enabling program development and implementation
  • Work with government technical and contracts staff developing program acquisition packages
  • Draft contractual documents for government contracts officer review and signature
  • Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals
  • Provide technical support including the review and assessment of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, concepts, and prototypes
  • Support Agile SAFe program development processes and activities
Common Duties:
  • Work with technical staff documenting technical and programmatic requirements
  • Enter funding information into customer's financial tools
  • Develop acquisition packages in accordance with government acquisition checklists
  • Draft common acquisition artifacts such as statements of work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, In Scope Determinations, and proposal evaluation criteria
  • Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals
  • Effectively work with development teams to track technical progress, identify blockers to progress, and assess technical solutions
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Bachelors degree and 9 years related experience or Masters degree and 7 years related experience
  • Acquisition support experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and communications skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
  • Experience building architectural representations to inform management decision making
  • Experience with Agile development practices and SAFe processes
