Job Summary:
The Addiction Nurse - - Office Based Addiction Treatment Program facilitates the collaborative interdisciplinary care management of opioid dependent patients and their significant support systems encompassing ongoing assessment, intake, evaluation, triage, teaching induction, stabilization, and monitoring of patients within the Opioid Treatment Program. The AN-OBATP supports and provides services to patients referred to the program for stabilization and assessment. The AN-OBATP collaborates with team members, clinic settings at Harris Health Systems and outside referral sites, and works with providers from addiction settings in assisting patients and supporting their referral needs.
The AN-OBATP advocates for options and services to meet the patient's health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes for the identified patient population. The AN-OBATP participates in quality improvement activities, exemplifies professionalism, and promotes a customer-friendly environment by utilizing Service FIRST behaviors in interactions with patients, families, and staff members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
a. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
b. Licensure/Certification:
i. Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Texas
ii. Specialty certification in Case Management or Addictions (CARN) by the Addictions Nursing Certification Board is required within two years of employment.
2. Work Experience:
i. Three (3) years of work experience as RN in related area;
ii. One (1) year experience in mental health or case management; addiction setting preferred.
3. Management/Experience: One (1) year related leadership experience preferred.
4. Equipment Operated: PC and typical medical equipment related to job duties.

2. Other Skills:
Analytical Medical Terms Mathematics
