Position Summary

This vital position shares telephone and general reception duties with other full-time members of the Customer Service Team in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The primary responsibilities are to answer a multi-line telephone system, provide admissions information, and refer the calls to appropriate members of the admissions staff. In addition, the person in this position will greet visitors to the office and reply to email inquiries. An Information Clerk also occasionally assists other areas of the office by preparing student information, such as assembling packets, stuffing envelopes, and other routine tasks included but not limited to helping with check in for events and taking meeting notes.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. PC, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Calendar), Excel and Slate proficiency

Aid prospective students and their families, high school guidance counselors, and current UGA students, faculty, and staff by answering Admissions and the University-related questions via multi-line phone system, in person and email. To be done in a timely, courteous manner within the office operational instructions.
