Job Summary

Monday-Friday 0630-1500.

Assess, manage, and coordinate care of cardiology patients under the supervision of physicians from multiple groups. Provide care and management for the pre-operative and post-operative outpatients undergoing electrophysiology and interventional cardiology procedures. Including but not limited to right and left heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablation procedures, left atrial appendage occlusion procedures, laser lead extractions, pacemaker and cardiac defibrillator implants. Prescribe and monitor anti-arrhythmic medications and anticoagulation. Complete H&P, follow-up notes and discharge summaries in collaboration with attending physicians and electrophysiology fellows. Attend University of South Florida's weekly Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology conferences and quarterly Electrophysiology and Cardiology section meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Acute Care Adult Gerontology NP, Acute Care NP, or a Physician Assistant
  • 1 year minimum of general cardiology experience with electrophysiology or interventional cardiology experience preferred.
