About the Role:
Advanced Programs Product Owner/Senior Embedded Software and Controls Engineer will be the Product Owner/Technical Specialist for our Core Infrastructure scrum team. Join a dynamic group of software and controls engineers responsible for the design, development and support of embedded software solutions for the worlds premier land-based combat vehicle producer.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
  • Scaled Agile Product Owner/Technical Lead for a scrum team of Embedded Software and Systems Engineers Developing layered architecture, strategies and software artifacts to support a Core Embedded Infrastructure.
  • Close collaboration with Business Owners, Project Management team, adjacent application scrum teams and DevSecOps scrum teams.
  • Evaluate Features created by Project Management team and Create Features for the scrum team ensuring quality Definition of Done and acceptance Criteria.
  • Facilitate and promote the culture and strategies of Re-usable, scalable, and Portable software infrastructure for embedded solutions.
  • Perform embedded software requirements analysis.
  • Guide team and Develop test procedures and perform unit/functional test on the executable software.
  • Lead software tool trade studies and make recommendations on tool selections (Hypervisors, OS, Static Analysis, DDS, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance to company and customer coding standards such as MISRA.
  • Guide Team and Debug software issues discovered throughout multiple testing phases.
  • Prepare status reports to management and support design/code peer reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Sought:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in: Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline/experience.
  • 10 plus years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a related role as a Technical Leader of Software & Controls Engineers and/or Systems/requirements engineers.
  • At least 5 years developing/creating/testing C++ embedded software and controls.
  • Understanding of Electrical and mechanical hardware (the plant) under control.
  • Experience developing simulation (SIL-Software in the loop) for software development and testing purposes.
  • Able to bring continuous Improvement processes and methodologies to the position.
  • Strong Communication, Interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Experience working in a Scaled agile Framework development environment.
  • Experience developing Safety Critical Systems and Software. ISO 26262, Mil Std 882E, or other product safety standards.
  • Experience designing layered embedded software architectures (FACE, MOSA, Autosar, Software Defined vehicle, etc.)
  • Experience creating modular, extensible, and re-usable architectures. Hardware, network abstraction.
  • Experience with various Hardware microprocessors/firmware and understanding of how these hardware choices effect software infrastructure such a BSP, Operating System selection, transport/middleware, etc.
  • Experience with JIRA in a Scaled Agile Framework
  • Experience with standard software development tools and practice.
  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
  • Bonus Experience Sought:
  • Master's Degree in related discipline desired.
  • SAFe Product Owner Certification.
  • Familiar with DevOps or DevSecOps development pipelines
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and principals
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
  • Experience with Type 1 Hypervisors, Dockers, Kubernetes.
  • Experience Implementing GCIA services
  • 2 year Experience Implementing MOSA, FACE, Autosar, or Software Defined Vehicle embedded software architectures.
