Description and Requirements
This is an opportunity to work for Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Groups (ISG) as part of a key development team supporting a complex sales configurator and other critical sales tools. This position requires the ability to be creative and work within the parameters of the existing platform.
Responsibilities:
• Use Agile/SCRUM methodology to deliver solutions on time with quality.
• Software development tasks including stakeholder communications, solution design, coding, documentation, DIT/SIT/UAT, incident/problem/change management, resolution, and escalation as appropriate.
• Use technical expertise to thoroughly investigate issues to identify underlying root causes, collaborate with stakeholders ensuring issues are resolved in a timely fashion within agreed SLA.
• Work with project lead to understand the product strategies & technical strategies.
• Own code profiling, code reviews and implement non-functional requirements. Work with rest of the development team to ensure the code quality and 100% code coverage in testing.
• Be responsible for collecting and managing requirements, working with business partners to define the scope of product, propose enhancements to improve and bring more value.
• Responsible for delivering a detailed system function design, convert to technical solution, including the detailed system diagram, data flow, integration flow with different systems, integration parameters, web form specifications, approval flow logic.
• Proactive learner with the ability to research and quickly utilize new technologies.
• Understand business requirements, both current and future, implement solutions including design and test, explore automation, continuous integration and deployment, etc., to achieve business directives and goals.
• Promote team productivity to meet organizational goals.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor of Computer Science / Information Technology
• 3+ years' experience in application development in Java, Java script programming, and UI development.
Preferred Requirements:
• Strong system analytics and reverse engineering skills
• Knowledge of SQL for data modeling, mining, and analysis
• Knowledge and experience in working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, team and people skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
• Experienced in working with geographically distributed development teams with an ability to solve complex problems and be persistent and assertive in the face of obstacles.
• Quick learning and self-motivation are critical for this role.
• Flexibility to work non-regular hours on occasion to meet global needs.
• Nice to have a general understanding in web infrastructure environment like load balancer, web server, application server and database. Along with knowledge in Web based UI development using HTML, CSS, JS and/or AJAX.
• Understanding of complex configurators
• Understanding of networking technologies and how they relate to high performance computing
