Piper Companies is searching for an IT Support Engineer to manage and improve software and hardware systems at a new biotechnology facility in Wilson, NC. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for establishing technology systems for the new site including proposals and design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support. This is a full time opportunity with traditional Monday - Friday schedule in Wilson, NC.

Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Manage IT projects by collaborating with team leaders & managing third-party vendors
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network devices
• Offer onsite support to end users and ensure effective resolutions
• Execute maintenance & upgrades to ensure efficient operation of IT systems
• Train staff on new & existing IT systems/software & manage IT inventory

Qualifications of the IT Support Engineer:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in Manufacturing IT
• Experience managing IT systems at the site level
• Proven understanding of software that supports manufacturing like ERP, MES, and SCADA systems
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principals
• B.S. in Computer Science, System Engineering, or a related field of study, or applicable industry experience

Compensation of the IT Support Engineer:

• $85,000/year - $100,000/year based on experience
