Position Purpose

Student worker position with the Department of Agriculture. Tasks will relate to assisting department faculty with grant-related activities including literature reviews for agriculture research projects; data collection of agriculture production in fields, high tunnels, greenhouses, or other locations; assisting with development of workshops or field days; data analysis; or other duties as assigned. Students may be requested to help facilitate elements important to grant deliverables such as assisting with organization and promotion of grant-related events, recruitment efforts, social media management, etc.

Education & Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills

Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Web Page Maintenance

Experience

Prior experience in a production agricultural operation or other agribusiness is preferred. Prior experience with web development, digital media editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud), and social media (management and analytical tools) is preferred.
