Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to join an internationally recognized specialty laboratory located on a highly dynamic scientific and health care campus. In the role at Exsera BioLabs you will be part of a team having a direct impact on patient health. Exsera preforms autoimmunity and complement testing for patient diagnostics, to advance basic and clinical research and in support of bring new drugs to market. This position is key to our work, conducting the testing and preparing quality results to advance patient care. Exsera is a growing and dynamic laboratory that looks forward to welcoming the right candidate into our interactive and supportive group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques, perform testing, and provide quality results to impact patient care.
  • Support analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting, and communicating results.
  • Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, cleanliness, and related areas.
  • Dispose of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions.
  • Review and complete testing worksheets, documents, and related materials and information.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of lab support policies, practices, and programs to meet regulatory, operations and management needs.
  • Assist Team Leads, Supervisors and/or management with creation and implementation of processes and procedures and quality improvement initiatives.


Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.


Intermediate Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • One (1) year professional level diagnostic or research experience.


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as Entry Level: $45,000 - $57,240

Intermediate Level: $48,970 - $62,290

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
