JOB SUMMARY
This position is part of the technical team that provides programming and analytic support to HCC and the Office of Institutional Research.
Builds applicable data sets and reporting capability into existing data systems.
Designs, tests and maintains complex analyses, reports, institutional dashboards and visualizations that support institutional decision-making.
Analyzes needs and develops custom and ad hoc reports.
Develops and maintains documentation for applications and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide analytical, technical and programming support to decision support and institutional research activities.
Design, develop and maintain computer programs and analytics that use institutional data sets including the data warehouse.
Use data management tools to develop, maintain and manipulate large data sets.
Design, develop and test web-based analytical reports, dashboards and data visualizations that support the assessment of key HCC initiatives.
Assist with the development and maintenance of the data warehouse as it relates to specific initiativesProvide training and presentations.
Respond to ad hoc requests for data and information.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
- 8 years related work experience may be considered in lieu of required degree
- 5 years related work experience required
- Higher education experience preferred
- Valid Texas Driver License
