The Analyst, Operations Planning & Analytics is responsible for all phases of operational performance analysis, including but not limited to the creation of business rules, measure development, data collection, SQL query
development, analysis, report design, summarization and validation.

Summary / Responsibilities:
  • Construct business rules for programs and processes associated with Operational Planning & Analysis

    Platform based on contractual language, available data and interactions with local operational and

    communications personnel.
  • Create, validate and maintain accurate SQL queries and Reporting Services reports focused on, but not

    limited to, the areas of performance compliance monitoring, operational planning, market demand and

    volume trends.
  • Perform complex, multilayered analysis of operational performance utilizing data from multiple sources.
  • Assist leaders by assembling data to support internal performance presentations.
  • Assist leadership in the development and evaluation of key metrics and benchmarks.
  • Create operational performance reports and test for accuracy on a regular basis.
  • Seek new and innovative ways for AMR to provide great service at a higher level of efficiency to its

    patients and customers.
  • Document and share leading practices in deployment planning and educate operations management by

    disseminating knowledge of Central Planning tools and processes.
  • Work as a team with other Central Planning personnel to ensure consistent, quality service across all

    operations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the

    responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and

    procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems

    security problems.
  • Ability to use / operate standard office equipment and tools.


Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or computer

    science is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in a role requiring independent analysis of performance metrics.
  • At least 1 year working with SQL queries and /or Microsoft Reporting Services Report Builder software.
  • Prefer experience in healthcare and/or EMS.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, reporting and database tools (e.g., Excel, Access, other Microsoft Office

    applications).
  • Proficient understanding of data base structures, relational databases, SQL query development and

    Microsoft Reporting Services Report Builder software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with various levels within the organization.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to develop analysis of clinical performance data with limited

    supervision.
  • Ability to work with others in a high volume fast paced environment as well as ability to work in remote

    location with little direct interaction with other employees.
