Responsibilities
- Analyze user engagement data on the Tiktok Android app and work together with Product Managers and Data Scientists to summarize data insights to identify opportunities for new product features in the TikTok Android app covering Authorization, Following, Friending, and User Profile.
- Analyze performance metrics to find inefficiencies in the TiktTok app, and together with other senior tech leads, redesign and implement the Android app architecture to improve the TikTok Android app's performance.
- Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentations, and deliver high quality work on a tight schedule.
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Mentor and lead junior level engineers to deliver complex Android product features, including reviewing junior engineers' work and providing feedback and regular guidance to help them grow.

Qualifications

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.

Must have 1 year of experience in the following skills:

- Designing and implementing Android OS applications using Java or Kotlin;
- Optimizing Android applications using modern frameworks following architecture design patterns including MVVM, MVP or MVC;
- Debugging Android applications with Android Studio, Logcat, Systrace and Charles;
- Utilizing industry level version control system to manage code contributions;
- Writing automatic unit testing cases to ensure code quality; and
- Integrating User Interface (UI) from visual design into Android applications.

Type: Full time, 40 hours/week
Location: Culver City, CA
Salary Range: $121222 - $168150 per year
