Position Summary
The Application Analyst/Senior Application Analyst position within University Advancement is a hybrid role that includes sub-roles as business analyst, solution architect, and QA testing lead. The final title will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Based on divisional need, this role may perform tasks across varying skill specialties and business support areas. The Application Analyst/Senior Application Analyst reports to the Senior Director of Application Services and is part of a customer-centered Advancement Services team focused on supporting the successful fundraising and engagement efforts of University Advancement.

Specifically, the Application Analyst/Senior Application Analyst:
  • Works to continuously improve and enhance University Advancement's Salesforce-powered digital ecosystem, gathering requirements and feedback and designing best practice solutions.
  • Conducts all aspects of user management including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority.
  • Supports all areas of University Advancement's ecosystem including Advancement RM, Marketing Cloud, Blackthorn Event Management, and non-Salesforce legacy platforms.
  • Requires a strong desire to keep learning and stay current with all supported technologies and platforms assigned.
  • Works to ensure compliance with all current UB technology rules and regulations.
  • Support the continuous evolution of web pages to ensure accessibility, ease of navigation, and best practices in web technologies.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications to support the day-to-day activities of University Advancement. Support existing e-commerce applications and processes such as the university's giving forms, the UB Foundation's payment gateway ( UBF Checkout), as well as administrative and reporting applications and scheduled jobs.

Compensation Details:
  • Senior Analyst: $75,000 - $80,000
  • Application Analyst: $65,000 - $75,000

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • One to two years programming experience
  • Experience working with:
  • PHP , HTML5, CSS , JavaScript
  • SQL and Oracle and/or relational databases reporting
