The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for an Application Development, Technical Lead to oversee multiple interconnected development teams for a program supporting the government customer. This program plays a pivotal role in steering the direction of application development efforts across the enterprise to ensure seamless interaction between diverse systems. The ideal candidate is technically proficient across both front-end and back-end development and is keen on fostering collaboration between teams to achieve integrated and innovative solutions. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and manage cross-functional development teams to design, develop, and deploy full stack software solutions in line with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical strategies for full stack development, ensuring robustness, scalability, and integration of applications.
  • Direct all facets of application development, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and deadlines.
  • Maintain daily communication with government leads to understand requirements, mission priorities, performance measures, program goals, and support needs.
  • Present overview briefings and updates to government leads, partners, and customers, effectively communicating program progress, including the status of testing, deployment, and release readiness.
  • Facilitate performance improvement meetings with internal and external stakeholders to uncover opportunities for technological advancements, and process optimization.
  • Remain abreast of the latest trends and technologies in full stack development to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.

What does Leidos need from me'
  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 14 plus years in software development, technology management, system engineering or related field. 12 plus years of experience with Master's degree.
  • Requires experience with Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch.

Favorable if you have:
  • Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular; back-end development, including proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, or Ruby; and database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  • Expertise in DevSecOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Range: Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
