Application Engineering Technical Lead II

Provide leadership to a team that works closely with business partners to develop strategies to address challenges, build appropriate solutions, and create a roadmap for implementation overseeing the execution of these strategies; establish strong partnership with Office of General Counsel (OGC) Legal Business Team actively engaging with key business partners to understand their use cases, struggles and business objectives; collaborate with business partners to find opportunities where technology solutions can effectively address their challenges and improve operational efficiency; provide guidance and expertise on legal technology trends, standard methodologies, and innovative solutions to enhance business processes and outcomes; manage expectations, balancing business requirements with technical feasibility and resource constraints; act as liaison for IT team and OGC legal business team ensuring effective communication, alignment and satisfaction; responsible for strategy development; analyze business requirements and translate them into strategic technology initiatives and solutions; work closely with business partners to define long-term goals, identify areas of improvement, and create comprehensive strategies to solve complex problems; conduct feasibility studies, evaluate different technology options, and recommend most suitable approaches that align with legal team's objectives and constraints; lead development of technology solutions that meet specific needs of OGC legal business team; responsible for roadmap creation and implementation; team leadership; utilize advanced level technical expertise; responsible for system maintenance and support. Occasional domestic travel required no more than five to ten times per year. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.

Requirements:

Master's in Computer Science , Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including IT Consultant - Tech Lead . Background in education, training or experience must include Legal technology; demonstrated ability to work effectively with Product Owners, business, architects, and developers; background must include frontend development technologies including HTML5, React JS, Angular; knowledge of developments in different types of APIs including REST, SOAP and RPC; knowledge of DB development including Oracle, Cloud SQL, Amazon Aurora, Azure SQL); knowledge of AWS technologies including CloudFront, S3, ECS, IAM, Dynamo, Lambda; must have experience working with Legal Products including iManage and Passport; demonstrated leadership skills.
