Job Description
Assists with duties associated with the weapons' acceptance programs, including but not limited to: receipt inspections, operator level maintenance, transporting the weapon to and from gun positions, pre-fire and post-fire nondestructive evaluation on acceptance weapon platforms to include navigation runs and fire control systems verification operating and troubleshooting the Digital Fire Control System, verifying and tracking major components (electronic and mechanical), and documenting the information as required. Relocates and assists with coordination of military hardware, including but not limited to, weapon systems, cannon tubes, breach assemblies, and other related components. Cleans components utilizing chemical or manual methods. Assists with test preparation, set-up, execution, and reporting. Maintains contact with the weapon system program on-site representative and works with other technicians to provide full spectrum support to the program. Performs other duties as required to ensure completion of test mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay Rate: $20.89
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Must possess and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
* Must acquire AA&E (Arms Ammunition and Explosives) certification within 90 days.
* Must acquire YPG Forklift certification within 90 days.
* Must acquire YPG overhead crane certification within 90 days.
* Must have 1 year artillery weapons experience.
Job Skills Requirements:
* None.
Physical Requirements:
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Must be capable of lifting 100lbs unassisted
* Must be capable of working in outdoor weather conditions.
* Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, and stooping.
* Must be capable of passing eye examination.
* Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Metrology and Simulation.

* Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.

* Must be willing to support testing in other areas within the section.
* Must use "down-time" effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.
