Chipton-Ross is seeking 20 Assembler Cs for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Regular and predictable attendance is required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
o Use a computer in a production environment.
o Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o Apply sealant and to surface per specifications.
o Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
o Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
o Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
o Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
o Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
o Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
o Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
o Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
o Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
o Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
o Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
o Work in confined space and respirator usage.
o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
o Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Ability to work in confined spaces.
o Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
o Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
o Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals; MPK, IPA, Acetone.
o Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o 7+ years aviation experience required
o 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
o Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
o Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.
o Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT
WORK HOURS: Contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
