Volt is immediately hiring for Assembler II in Long Beach, CA.

As an Assembler II you will:

• Use hand and/or power tools (wire stripper, crimper, drills, soldering station) to assemble complete products from scratch or sub-assemblies.
• Work hand in hand with production lead or section leader to assess labor and execute productivity per our demand plan.
• Able to flex between production lines and fill in for assemblers that are absent or fill in personnel gaps as needed.
• Help Production Lead manage team of small associates per sub-section requirements.
• Assembling prototype units in a timely manner with proper instructions.
• Conduct cycle counts of necessary materials while maintaining stock of required components needed for execution of daily demand plan.
• Maintaining the highest level of certifications in training and productivity following manufacturing operating procedures, experienced in the mechanical and electrical assembly of all Edge System units and products.
• Capable of assembling prototype units in a timely manner with proper instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized working area.
• Capable of troubleshooting system products and determining the cause of the rejection.
• Wear safety gear as required.
• Perform additional duties to facilitate production as required.
• Occasionally lift up to 50lbs. with assistance.

This is a full-time opportunity Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm open to overtime.

The ideal candidate will have Mandatory Skills:

• 1+ years of extensive related experience in the manufacturing environment and a high school diploma/GED equivalent or 4 years of extensive experience.
• Strong mechanical prowess and problem-solving nature
• Electromechanical assembly experience is highly desirable.
• Must be able to understand and follow MOPs, mechanical diagrams, and other engineering document
• Must be self-motivated and willing to ask questions when directions are needed

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
