ASSISTANT CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (ACNO) - FT TEXAS SPINE AND JOINT HOSPITAL TYLER TEXAS

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer has oversight of the Inpatient Care Unit, ER, Inpatient PT, Respiratory Therapy, manages Infection Control and leads the Quality program for the hospital. The Assistant CNO ensures departmental compliance with accrediting bodies, applicable state regulations and CMS, and acts as the Patient Safety Officer. The Assistant CNO performs regular reporting to corporate headquarters, and ad hoc reporting to regulatory bodies. He/she is actively involved in organizational leadership and assures that quality and patient care standards are achieved or maintained. This position also has responsibility for leading department compliance with safety and disaster preparedness.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years director-level experience in an acute care setting. Minimum of five years pertinent (med-surg/ICU/OR) clinical experience is required with progressive leadership responsibility.

DEGREE/LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: BSN/Registered Nurse in Texas in good standing, BLS certification and ACLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire. Prefer graduate degree in nursing or healthcare administration. C.P.H.Q. preferred.
