Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor is a 99 bed skilled nursing facility located in Oakland, Maryland. Our skilled nursing facility has been serving the Maryland community for over 46 years. We're proud to be a community tradition of outstanding service and compassionate care. We offer 24/7 skilled nursing care, hospice, respite care and many more services to seniors in the tristate area. This position is a full time, Mond ay-Friday, day-shift work schedule, with some on-call availability as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum 1 year full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
  • Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred
  • Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
  • Experience in Gerontology preferred

JOB SUMMARY: T he Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists in ensuring the nursing department provides consistent, attentive, and efficient care to residents. The ADON is responsible for monitoring nursing staff, nursing activities, and patient care, as well as ensuring nursing activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reports directly to the Director of Nursing and covers when the Director of Nursing is not in the facility.
  • Creates a safe, healthy work environment that supports delivery of high-quality resident care.
  • Creates a culture where highly engaged team members are able to contribute to the best in resident care and to grow professionally.
  • Assures the best resident care by supervising and directing Nursing Personnel.
  • Serves as a liaison for all nursing staff and nurse management.
  • Makes decisions regarding nursing and unit problems.
  • Participates in facility surveys.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and resident's families.
