The University of Virginia SOM seeks candidates for Assistant Director, Research Infrastructure for Business Administration. This position will perform overall administrative management & coordination of business functions including:
  • Finance and budget
  • Assist with HR tasks
  • Space/facilities planning
  • Grant administration
  • Academic support
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Master's degree in business administration or related field.
Experience: Six years of relevant experience.
Licensure: None

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Six years increasingly responsible experience in related role in academic research environment
  • Budgeting and financial report analysis
  • Comprehensive understanding of biomedical research & administration
  • Able to evaluate scientific technologies
  • Analytical skills
  • Understanding of GMP standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
