The Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle - Tampa General Provider Network reports directly to the Associate VP - Oncology, providing oversight and direction to practice revenue cycles within TGPN including billing, collections, coding, and reimbursement processes. This role will provide financial analysis and report revenue trends, identify revenue leakage, and develop strategies for revenue enhancement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Business Or Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a hospital business office environment performing billing and/or follow-up functions. Experience in commensurate with the listed job requirements. A major emphasis on knowledge of multispecialty practice billing and collection operations in an academic setting is required.
• Ability to conduct high-level problem solving with a focus on compliance and revenue optimization.
• Ability to addresses systemic root causes of chronically recurring problems.
• Ability to serve as the primary point of contact between TGPN and facility for account specific
billing issues.
• Ability to provide operational guidance regarding revenue cycle policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify system and operational issues and address with TGPN leaders.
• Ability to function as next level of issue escalation for revenue cycle staff.
• Ability to present to varying levels of leadership and staff.
• Knowledge of HCFA 1500 claim forms, diagnosis and procedure coding terminology.
• Knowledge of multispecialty practice billing and collection operations in an academic setting.
