Description
This position provides support to the Service Systems Program at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS), which is the coordinating center for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). The Assistant Director develops new programs and processes with a high degree of autonomy while also working closely with the Program Director, stepping in as needed to support the team and assuming full responsibility for key initiatives, following them through from conceptualization and planning to launch and completion.
The Assistant Director participates in collaborative work groups, identifies and disseminates best practices, collaborates with NCTSN partners to develop resources and training, conducts presentations for service systems professionals, and works closely with the Program Director to guide and direct planning. You will also work with the Director of the Service Systems Program to integrate these program initiatives with other NCCTS programs as relevant. The Assistant Director is recognized as an expert in specific areas related to child-serving systems, trauma-informed care, anti-racism, culture, and trauma.

Pay Range: $78,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually.

Duties of the Assistant Director include:
- With the Director, develop strategies and goals of the program
- Develop and implement new programs, processes, and policies in key areas
- Develop proposals to address emerging issues (identify problems and solutions, analyze costs and benefits, recommend options)
- Guide and direct planning of the program with senior leaders
- Lead and participate in relevant NCTSN collaborative working groups.
- Establish collaborative working relationships with NCTSN members and external partners, to help advance Service Systems program priorities.
- Research, identify, and disseminate best practices in key areas.
- Produce training and resources.
- Collaborate with NCTSN partners to develop resources and trainings to fill important gaps.
- Provide education and develop communications related to key Service Systems priorities.
- Support the dissemination and evaluation of Service Systems resources.
- Conduct presentations and trainings for service systems professionals (e.g., juvenile justice, schools).
- Assist the Program Director in all aspects of Service Systems and Anti-Racism work
- Represent the Service Systems program in place of the Director when required.
- Lead team meetings when required.
- Work with Program Director to launch new programs and initiatives, and implement changes and improvements within the Service Systems unit.
- Work collaboratively across NCCTS programs, and particularly with Product Development and Communications, Data and Evaluation, and Site Integration and Collaboration.
