Assistant District Attorney - Waukesha County

Position Summary

This Assistant District Attorney position is a full-time position to be filled in the District Attorney's office for Waukesha County, located in Waukesha, WI. This is a State position in the unclassified service. All applicants are welcome but we are especially seeking a candidate with experience as a sensitive crimes prosecutor to include extensive charging and litigation experience in cases involving Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault of a Child, Child Abuse and Child Neglect. Priority will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of prosecutor experience, strong courtroom skills and trial experience. The position will be open on September 9, 2024.

Salary Information

The starting salary for the position will be $76,378 annually ($36.72 per hour).

Job Details

Attorneys who are currently employed by the State of Wisconsin are invited to apply and may be able to transfer at their current pay rate. Attorneys who have left the position of Wisconsin elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney within the last five years may be able to be hired at a wage rate above the minimum.

Qualifications

Only attorneys who have been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin may be hired.
