The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight:
• Assist in managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate food and beverage quality and presentation to ensure standards are met.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food and beverage supplies.
• Staff Management:
• Supervise, train, and mentor restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel.
• Assist in scheduling shifts and managing staff performance.
• Address and resolve staff conflicts and guest complaints in a professional manner.
• Guest Service:
• Ensure exceptional guest service by monitoring service quality and addressing guest concerns.
• Assist in creating and implementing promotional events or special programs to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the restaurant.
• Financial Management:
• Assist in monitoring and controlling restaurant expenses, including labor costs and inventory.
• Support in analyzing financial reports and implementing strategies to achieve revenue goals.
• Help manage the restaurant's budget and forecast future financial needs.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with other departments within the hotel to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in planning and executing special events or banquets as needed.
• Communicate effectively with both guests and staff to ensure smooth operation.

This position has a salary compensation ranging from $64,484-$78,700.
