The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security team and ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property. This role involves managing daily security operations, responding to emergencies, and implementing security policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision:
    • Lead, train, and supervise the security team, including security officers and patrol staff.
    • Schedule shifts, assign duties, and monitor performance to ensure high standards of security service.
  • Security Operations:
    • Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, and parking facilities.
    • Monitor and review security camera footage to identify and address any security concerns.
    • Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly and efficiently, including fire, medical, or security incidents.
  • Policy Implementation:
    • Enforce hotel security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement security protocols to address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance security measures.
  • Guest and Staff Interaction:
    • Provide a visible security presence to enhance guest and staff confidence.
    • Address guest concerns and complaints related to security in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Assist guests and staff in emergency situations, offering support and guidance as needed.
  • Incident Reporting:
    • Document and report all security incidents, including thefts, disturbances, and accidents.
    • Prepare detailed incident reports and conduct investigations to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
    • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security and safety.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide ongoing training and development for security staff on best practices, emergency procedures, and customer service.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.


    This is an hourly position with a compensation of $23.36 per hour.

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification preferred.

    • Previous experience in security or law enforcement, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

    • Strong knowledge of security operations, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

    • Proficiency in using security technology and equipment.

    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

    • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to various weather conditions.

    • Must be able to handle confrontational situations and working in high-stress environments.

    • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to moderate weight.
