  1. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Responsible for all assigned operations on their shift


  1. Responsible for knowing the production needs for both printing presses


  1. Ensuring both printing presses have all the job materials (ink, plates, board stock, etc.) needed to operate the presses at all times


  1. Aiding with press set-up and clean up tasks


  1. Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment.


  1. Provide printer crews with breaks as needed


  1. General cleaning duties on each press, sweep platforms, wipe down equipment


  1. Storage and maintenance of coating blankets, create new blankets as needed


  1. Assist with general operations on both presses. Ensure each press has materials for at least 3 jobs staged and ready to run


  1. As required, pull printed loads and stage them correctly


  1. Assist with equipment repairs when possible


  1. Confirm that the Printing Department is clean before shift change (Garbage and Rag buckets empty, material stocked, area swept and clean)


  1. Keep department in specs within all 5S requirements


  1. Each person, regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality


  1. Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner


  1. Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.


  1. Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your ability


  1. Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.


  1. Safe operation of motorized pallet jacks.


  1. Other duties as assigned


  1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  1. High school diploma or GED
