Job Description

The Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology invites applications for one (1) full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Substantive teaching and research areas are open . Responsibilities include:

• scholarly research/publishing,

• pursuit of extramural funding,

• high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, and

• service to students, the department, the school, the university, and the discipline.

Successful candidates will demonstrate commitments to community engagement in research and teaching, and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

Qualifications

• Qualifications include a Ph.D. by August 1, 2025 in Criminology or a closely related field.

o Advanced ABDs will be considered.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience, evidence of externally funded research, and credentials.
