Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate should:
• develop and teach synchronous online courses in the LTLE Learning Design and Technology (LDT) master's program, and in the undergraduate LTLE Educational Media Minor.
• establish a strong research or scholarly agenda that advances innovative, equitable, and applied understandings of learning technologies.
• work collaboratively and collegially with others within and beyond the academic unit.
• possess an ambitious future-oriented vision for the LDT programs that includes attracting diverse new students.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should:
• have earned an appropriate terminal degree in the field of learning design, learning engineering, instructional technology, educational technology, or a related field, no later than August 2025. An appropriate terminal degree is not required at the time of application.
• demonstrate a strong theoretical and/or critical perspective about the innovative use of technology for learning.
• demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence.
• ability to/must be able to articulate a plan for their future scholarly agenda to include IRB-approved research, professional presentations, peer-reviewed journal publications, and grant awards. This should align with their perspectives, interests, and commitments, and those of the department, college, and university.
• demonstrate experience designing innovative and creative learning experiences.
• demonstrate experience working with research and/or design teams.
• have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• demonstrate a commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate education.
