LaSalle Network has partnered with a rapidly expanding services company with an office in Chicago, IL, to hire on an Associate to their Corporate Development team. This role will be hybrid in office in the Loop and travel regularly to New York.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth initiatives of our client's company while gaining valuable experience in corporate finance, M&A and strategic planning. This role is open to Investment Banking, Deal Advisory or Transaction Advisory candidates with relevant degrees with 2-4 years of total experience. Budget for this role is up to a base of $105,000 with additional annual bonus targeted at 15%.

Associate - Corporate Development Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on industry trends, competitor landscape, market dynamics and potential growth opportunities to inform strategic decision-making
  • Assist in financial modeling, including valuation analysis, discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling and comparable company analysis (CCA), to evaluate potential acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships
  • Support due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and strategic initiatives, including gathering and analyzing financial data, conducting risk assessments and identifying key value drivers and potential synergies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategic plans and initiatives, providing analytical insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations, reports and memos summarizing findings, analysis and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned, providing analytical support and contributing to various aspects of corporate development activities

Associate - Corporate Development Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance required
  • Must be able to be in the Chicago office 3-4 days a week
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis
  • Excellent research abilities, with the capacity to gather, analyze and synthesize complex data
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance principles and M&A concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a proactive mindset and a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Must have an active US Passport- will be traveling to Canada
  • Relevant internship or work experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting or related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with financial databases and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) preferred
  • Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes and deal structures preferred
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field optional
