The Director of Corporate Development will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating and executing strategic acquisitions that align with our client's growth objectives. The position will be responsible for identifying and cultivating acquisition opportunities, managing relationships with sellers and other stakeholders, and leading the transaction process from initial contact through integration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in deal sourcing within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, preferably with experience in private equity.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize potential acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic goals. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities through networking, industry research and relationship-building with key stakeholders, including business owners, investment bankers and advisors
  • Lead the end-to-end acquisition process, including due diligence, valuation, contract negotiation and integration planning. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient transaction process
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts, investment bankers and other key stakeholders to facilitate deal flow
  • Work closely with the executive team to define and execute the company's acquisition strategy

Director of Corporate Development Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity or a related field with a strong focus on M&A and deal sourcing. Experience within a private equity backed company is highly preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing acquisitions in business services or related industry
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation and due diligence skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives and Board members
  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to evaluate and execute acquisition opportunities
