Position Summary
The Associate Director of Application and Web Development plays a pivotal role within our Application Support team, focusing on driving the success of fundraising and engagement initiatives within the Division of University Advancement. Central to this role is the continual improvement and progression of our Salesforce-based Affinaquest Advancement RM system and web-based technologies that directly engage constituents. This entails a commitment to innovation and collaborative partnerships with internal teams and university stakeholders.
The Associate Director of Application and Web Development:
The Associate Director leads the creation and execution of tests for updates to ensure the acceptance criteria is met and existing functionality is not impacted, creation of seed data, and completion of complex test automation. As a member of a highly skilled and evolving team, the Associate Director will have opportunities to partake in skillset development to further their technical knowledge and capabilities and career development.

The Associate Director of Application and Web Development:
- Leads and oversees the development of complex solutions based on requirements from University Advancement leadership.
- Contributes to the design of the division's overall digital and integration ecosystem.
- Translates high-level requirements into user stories and actionable items for implementation.
- Implements and supports integrations between Salesforce, legacy systems, and new platforms.
- Manages DevOps processes and release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and management of vendor and internally developed releases.
- Develops and ensures consistent execution of release processes and procedures, leveraging available tools and services to facilitate deployment by internal and external resources into production.

- Experience working with:
- PHP , HTML5, CSS , JavaScript
- SQL and Oracle and/or relational databases reporting
- Payment gateways
- 3rd party APIs
- Content management system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with:
- Salesforce development
- OpenShift
- Laravel PHP framework
- DevOps (dev/stg/prod.)
- Authorize.net payment gateway and API
- Certifications:
- Salesforce Java Developer after 18 months in service
- Salesforce Platform Developer I after 18 months in service
- Salesforce Platform Developer II after 24 months in service
- Salesforce Administrator
