Position Summary:

UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers is hiring! Our Sensor and Software Systems division invites qualified applicants to apply for our Associate Electrical Engineer opening!

This position will support a rapid prototyping team, applying electrical and mechanical skills to support the development of custom solutions for the Air Force. The ideal candidate with be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who can work with a team to make ideas into reality. Hands-on development and fabrication skills are a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent discipline
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Proficient at communicating ideas and concepts via oral presentations
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and editing electrical schematics and diagrams
• Experience with schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board layout
• Experience soldering (surface mount and through-hole)
• Experience with electronic test equipment (power supply, DC load, function generator, multi-meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer)
• Familiar with Altium Designer eCAD
• Familiar with SolidWorks mCAD
• Knowledge of embedded C/C++ programming
