Job Summary

The Product Engineering (PE) team is responsible for communicating proper installation practices of our core brands that are used on single-family and multi-family projects. This is a team of problem solvers who work daily with builders, architects, and engineers to help them design and install our products in homes, apartment buildings, townhouses, or other structures. The PE team is looking for those who enjoy consulting with people on the implementation of our products to improve their projects. This group has a mix of collaborative and independent projects involving creating installation instructions, using AutoCAD ® and SketchUp™ to create details, crafting technical documents, and assisting with developing training and educational program units.

Job Description

The Associate Product Application Engineer role is a full-time position within the PE team. This role is based

out of the Huber Engineered Woods' corporate office in Charlotte, NC.

Below is a list of key responsibilities:

• Technical Support

o Assist in answering external and internal customers' product application questions.

o Provide on-site technical support to design professionals and installers of our products.

o Assist the Research, Development and Innovation team with product development and improvement.

o Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Brand Team members to ensure our products are

represented accurately in customer facing media.

• Technical Content Creation and Management

o Create technical documents addressing specific product applications.

o Assist in management of technical collateral on HEW websites.

o Create and update AutoCAD and SketchUp installation details.

o Work with PE team members to solve unique customer project needs.

Key Competencies
