Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is hiring an Associate Research Scientist, on a contract basis.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2 years of academic and / or industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Small animal handling experience including dosing and blood collection by multiple routes
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills applied to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities:
  • Works predominantly within established procedures
  • Works as a team member to complete in vivo studies to assess cardiac function following pre-established protocols and IACUC guidelines.
  • Provides weekend support to team in animal monitoring, compound dosing, sample collection, and lab activities
  • Collect, prepare, distribute various tissues for in vitro analysis and biomarker evaluation (e.g. WB, ELISA, histology)
  • May be required to breed and develop animal colonies
  • Provides support in lab management (eg stocking and organization)
