Position Description:
Job Description The ideal candidate will take part in the creation of test automation for infotainment systems. We are looking for an energetic and experienced Test Automation Developer with experience in Android and QNX. The successful candidate would be working in a fast-paced agile development team delivering solutions that will enable test automation of software at a vehicle/module level. Responsibilities • Review specifications and identify clear product requirements. • Develop and execute functional and integration test plans for feature implementation. • Automate test cases using Python and in-house libraries. • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. • Investigate and reproduce in-vehicle infotainment software issues and verify the software fix. • Use defect management tools for defect creation and monitoring of resolution. • Fully understand and apply Standards and tools for pipeline development. • Follow code artisanship best practices, quality, and security standards; and contributes to the improvement of them.
Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study. • 5+ years of experience developing test automation scripts in Python. • 3+ years of software test experience on embedded OS platforms: Linux, QNX or Android • 1+ years of experience utilizing network trace/capture tools (Wireshark) to investigate and resolve networking issues. • 2+ years using version control system (e.g., Git/GitHub). • 2+ years of professional experience with test design.
Experience Required:
• Advanced experience on Electrical Architecture, or Functional Architecture, or Software Architecture. • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Test Rail), version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub), issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), CI environment (e.g., Jenkins), corporate Wiki (e.g., Confluence) • Support Product Test execution in a hardware lab environment and work with cross functional team • Understanding of automotive protocols like CAN/LIN/Ethernet • Understanding of tools to capture and analyze automotive communication. • Previous test experience with real-time or embedded applications. • Familiarity with Pytest or similar automation framework • Experience with test benches (hardware) and test tools • Familiarity with Linux and QNX networking tools • Familiarity with communication technologies/tools, e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular • Experience in automotive industry
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
Additional Information :
Position is Hybrid (we will aim for AT LEAST 3 days a week in office in Dearborn - up to 5 days)
