AWS CLOUD SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

ALTA IT Services has a 100% remote, 12 month+ contract opening for an AWS Cloud Systems Administrator to support a leading health insurance customer within their Enterprise Informatics Environment. The position must be worked during EST hours. Potential for contract to hire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work independently within guidelines, be responsible for coordinating and working with 3rd party vendor to manage AWS platform, software upgrades, application deployments, patch installations, security request and incident management.
  • Candidate will work directly in the client's AWS environment providing support and guidance to all technical teams.


Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:
  • Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, analytical organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and attention to details a must.
  • Must be able to exhibit in relation to data integration and management.
  • Coordination of infrastructure and platform changes with 3rd party vendor and managing tickets and change requests via Cherwell.


Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in a delivery or consulting role leading Information Management related initiatives is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred


Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
  • Experience in Web Administration.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and Docker
  • Knowledge of Apache and Apache Tomcat
  • Knowledge of AWS RDS (Postgres and Redshift)
  • Responsible for submitting and coordinating changes with vendor (AIP)
  • Understanding of Information Security for data protection, governance, and security preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in AWS cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and EKS
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Jenkins and CloudBees
  • Experience in building and managing pipelines is a plus.


Additional Requirements:
  • Work with Architecture, and stakeholders to understand business needs for Hardware, Software to expand the capabilities of the platform/environment.
  • Lead, create, and collaborate with cross functional teams for AWS RDS projects.
  • Lead the implementation and administration of Apache/Tomcat web applications.
  • Lead DevOps initiative to develop and maintain pipelines in Informatics Environment
  • Manage, monitor vendor processes to align with client processes and adhere to corporate standards and policies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.


HOURLY RATE: $48/HR. Range W2. Benefits available. C2C is OK
