Title: Azure Data Modeler
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid 3/2) or remote with occasional travel.
Duration: 9 months plus extensions
Compensation: 70 to 90hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

• The role's primary focus is to support our Cognos to Power BI Conversion project that's underway which uses data in our Azure Synapse (dedicated SQL pool) warehouse. The data in Synapse is raw, flattened, and has minimal curation. We need to build a semantic layer to support the Power BI solutions that need to be created. Another team is delivering a logical data model to our team, and we need an Azure Data Modeler to convert that to a physical data model.
• The Data Modeler will be responsible for the developing/maintaining the physical model and will partner closely with the team who will deliver the logical model (and potentially provide feedback).
• Knowledge of Power BI architecture will be helpful to understand performance implications
• We don't have an in-house data modeling tool at this time but are exploring tools to procure. Candidate needs Dimensional Data Modeling experience.
• The Data Modeler will need advanced SQL skills to conduct data analysis. Azure Data Factory knowledge may be helpful as well.
