Apex Systems is currently searching for an Mid-Level Azure DevOps Engineer for one of our fortune 500 clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Support a multi-site, multi-platform VMware, Windows and Linux environment in order to meet and maintain appropriate service levels.
• Responsible for testing, tuning, configuration and setup of VMware, Windows and Linux architecture as well as support common server applications.
• Experience with vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations Manager, NSX, and EHC preferred.
• Maintain appropriate documentation on the VMware, Windows and Linux environments.
• Provide a point of escalation and support to the Desktop Support Group.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for the virtualization and server environment as part of a rotation.
• Participate in weekend maintenance activities as required.
• Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.
• Monitor Windows 2003/2008/2012 and RHEL 5/6/7 servers and troubleshoot problems.
• Support, maintain and administer third party applications.
• Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration and related processes.
• Enforce change management and compliance processes.
• Work as a technical resource on assigned projects.
• Install, configure, update and maintain server operating systems.
• Proactively manage the VMware, Windows, and Linux environments, replication and redundancy.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on server hardware.
• Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
• Maintain proactive management and maintenance of the infrastructure to prevent service interruptions.
• Schedule and prioritize work to accommodate client needs while minimizing impact on operations.
• Contribute to internal project teams that establish guidelines, set procedures, outline standards, and monitor for industry compliance.
• Maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Requirements:
• Three to five years of related experience.
• BS/BA or equivalent experience is desired.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written, verbal and listening.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member.
• Strong problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.
• Technical Certification Level: MCSE/MCSA/VCP preferred.

Required Skills : Must Haves: -ADO: Azure DevOps - DevOps fundamentals - powershell (they also use bash) - experience with relational databases when it comes to SQL server - will be working with team in conceptional design w/ pipelines - needs to be able to work in kanban teams - will be documenting the test of the pipelines through their confluence pages
