DevOps Track Engineer
Mclean, Virginia
Responsibilities:
Provide Support to Developers in remediating web applications due to upgrade of middleware components such as Apache,Tomcat,Weblogic on Linux, OpenShift and AWS platform
Jenkins pipeline integration and Automation
Work with Engineering and Infrastructure build teams to fix any middleware issues
Configure middleware instances
Understand the structure and workflow of the web applications that are being worked on
Troubleshoot and perform problem analysis during development, testing and Production deployment
Identify Break points and provide solutions during upgrade
Provide Clear documentation on solutions and operational steps
Develop implementation plans for UAT and production Deployment
Participate in Weekend Prod deployment activities
Work with Middleware and Openshift Admin teams to configure and test the new changes on Applications
Debug issues related to environments deployed on Docker / Kubernetes
Essential Skills:
6-9 years of strong middleware administration experience using Technologies such as Weblogic, Tomcat and Apache
Develop, build and deploy Microservices on Openshift Container Platform, setup autoscaling and performance tuning.
Good experience in AWS DevOps Tools for Build and Deploy Microservices
Good experience in Docker and Kubernetes
Basic understanding of Java/J2EE development experience is preferred
Strong scripting knowledge on Ansible and Groovy
Strong understanding of end-to-end web applications architecture especially the middleware tier
Experience in WebLogic version upgrade using WLST scripts
Extensive experience in configuring various middleware components on linux
Strong troubleshooting skill and familiarity with debugging tools
Understanding of security infrastructure for authentication and authorization is highly desirable
Essential Qualification:
