Backend Engineer

Position:Backend engineer

Location:New York City- must be local and sit hybrid
Overview:As a backend engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technology stack of the organization. You will design, develop, and deploy backend services.
Responsibilities:

• Define backend requirements and APIs using Node.js and Typescript
• Work closely with DevOps to deploy applications on AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Create and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL
• Deploy CI/CD pipelines
• Utilize Python and PyTorch for AI and machine learning tasks

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
• Experience working in a start up environment
• Proficiency in Node.js and Typescript (full-stack experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools (flexibility in choosing the right tool)
• Understanding of Python & PyTorch
