Position Overview:

The Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to patrons, helping prepare for and clean up after the event, and providing prompt and courteous service to all guests.

Organizational Structure:

Department: Food and Beverage

Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports To: Banquet Manager

Supervision:None

Pay Structure: Hourly, Paid Bi-weekly

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist the manager /captain or front of the house staff whenever necessary as directed by a supervisor.

• Serving banquet functions as needed.

• Complete special projects with appropriate training as assigned by the Manager.

• Greet and interact with the guest in a friendly and professional manner creating the "WOW" experience.

• Report unsafe work conditions/practices and safety/security violations in accordance with Company policy.

• Maintain food and cleanliness standards to ensure that the highest quality products are consistently maintained.

• Accomplish daily assignment of duties in designated banquet areas to the quality standards of the hotel/franchise.

• Keep the function room and station neat & clean per established policies & procedures.

• Use proper in-room clearing & aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables & equipment.

• Assist with setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables & equipment.

• Always provide guest services in a highly professional manner exceeding guest expectations.

• Interact with fellow associates in a courteous and professional manner.

• Acknowledge, understand, and comply with all Company/franchise policy, procedures and work practices.

• Attend and participate in all appropriate and/or mandatory meetings and on-going training sessions.

• Complete assigned side work.

• Successfully complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.

● Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.

● Must have reliable transportation to and from work

● Customer Service Skills required.

● Prioritization and time management skills required.

● Must have a strong attention to detail
