About the opportunity:

To coordinate and provide education and training needs specific to the clinical systems. Responsible for needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational experiences for staff. Operates independently, acting as a consultant for behavioral health clinical areas, directors, and managers as assigned.

What you will do:
  1. Performs comprehensive assessment of clinical staff education needs.
  2. Develops and implements clinical education programs based on the needs assessments and needs of clinical staff.
  3. Designs and implements orientation programs for new employees.
  4. Periodically assesses effectiveness of implemented programs.
  5. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to develop educational materials and programs.
  6. Teaches required crisis management courses.
  7. Responds to clinical staff requests, emails, questions, and requests.
  8. This position requires staffing the unit based on patient and staffing needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  10. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:

Experience:
  • 4 years of professional nursing practice, teaching, mentoring, or leadership experience required.
  • 2-3 years Behavioral Health experience preferred.

License(s):
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.

Certification(s):
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Computer / Typing:
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Education:

  • Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay:

$42.52 — $69.89 USD
