Behavioral Services Professional

Queens Centers for Progress, a not-for-profit Agency in Queens, NY, providing person-centered services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a Joint Behavioral Services Professional to work with our Day Services and Residential Services.

General Summary: To assist both the Day Habilitation and Residence Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) and Psychology department with day-to-day issues, paperwork, training, and programming.

Duties:

1. Offer daily behavioral supports to the group rooms and residences

2. Assist the BIS with staff training on Behavior Support Plans and the Psychiology curriculum

3. Co-facilitate groups in the group rooms and residences with the BIS

4. Collect behavior data sheets in the group rooms and residences and gather data for analysis, reports, and HRC.

5. Daily rounds in the group room and residences

6. Maintain the Snoezelen room

7. Attend meetings and trainings, as needed

Requirements;

Associates Degree or higher in a Human Services Field (such as psychology, social work, education, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19 to $22.50 per hour

Experience:

• 2 years working with I/DD population preferred
