Job Description:

Manage day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401(k), etc.).
• Handle the administration of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers to ensure effective and compliant benefits coverage.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, issues, and claims.
• Conduct benefits orientations and explain options to employees.
• Develop and distribute communication materials to educate employees about benefits changes and updates.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records in HRIS or other systems.
• Prepare and analyze benefits reports, including cost analyses and participation trends.
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate deductions and contributions.
• Liaise with benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers to resolve issues and ensure effective service delivery.
• Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure high-quality service.
• Support the development and administration of wellness programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR and management to create benefits strategies that align with employee needs and company goals.
• Promote participation in benefits and wellness programs to enhance employee engagement.
• Responsible for data integrity, enrollments audits and billing reconciliations.
• Prepare, collect, and organize data for annual plan audits and reporting (i.e. 5500).
• Maintain an external focus on best practices, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment.
• Manage, participate, and process all Acquisition benefit related items, such as enrollments and communication with vendors.
• Manage employee enrollment in benefit plans and ensure that employees are aware of their options.
• Review employee complaints regarding benefits administration issues, such as claims denials, coverage errors, or benefit discontinuance.
• Manage monitor and correct Carrier File Feeds in HRIS.
• Coordinate employee benefits with human resources and payroll departments to ensure that all benefits are provided on time with the appropriate employee premiums.
• Create and maintain records related to employee benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
• Exceptional computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Strong understanding of benefits programs, laws, and regulations.
