About the team
Performance & Incentives (P&I) are powerful tools for furthering the company's strategic goals. A robust Performance & Incentives (P&I) strategy influences the organization's ability to attract and retain the best talent, while creating a strong alignment of individuals' interests with the organization's strategic goals. The Performance & Incentives team at ByteDance, therefore, are constantly benchmarking and striving for the best practice & return on investment in developing competitive C&B policies. The Performance & Incentives team works on a lot of interesting problems. Whether it is developing new world-class compensation policies, diving deep into market research, analyzing big data and benchmarking. The Performance & Incentives team work on a lot of cool and exciting projects to come up with the best ways to serve our organization. Given the nature of our work, it also creates huge opportunities for collaboration with departments in and outside of the HR organization.

Responsibilities
1. Develop, review, and optimize the U.S. benefits packages and policies, ensuring alignment with the company's philosophy, market competitiveness, and compliance with local regulations.
2. Lead the full lifecycle of benefits program design, from conception to implementation and communication, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all employees.
3. Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. HR Operations, Communications, HRBPs, Legal, etc.) and external vendors (brokers and insurers) on project delivery.
4. Monitor local legislation updates, and work closely with legal teams to ensure that policies comply with local regulations.
5. Handle escalations together with HR Operations/HRBPs and advise on benefits policies and solutions.
6. Support global benefits initiatives, ensuring successful rollout by considering local requirements and context.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
1. Proven experience in HR/Benefits area.
2. Strong analytical and systems thinking. Solid research skills including gathering external benchmarks usage data and experience feedback from employees.
3. Ability to develop strong relationships with key employee groups, HR and leadership teams.
4. Ability to communicate complex benefits information effectively across all levels, including employees, HR teams, and business leaders. Proven ability to develop clear, data-driven proposals and reports.
5. Demonstrate commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in-house or within a technology, SaaS, or internet company.
2. Proven organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
