Job Description:
The Benefits Specialist will handle the day-to-day management of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include assisting employees with benefits inquiries, managing FMLA, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims, and coordinating benefits communications and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Conduct new hire orientation, manage annual open enrollment, and communicate ongoing benefits information.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
- Manage FMLA, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reconciliations.
- Perform regular audits to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide high-quality customer service to employees, retirees, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration.
- Knowledge of health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
- Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
