Pay

This position is hourly position at pay grade 102.

Attendance

Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains restrooms for public and staff; by sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing toilets and sinks, and cleaning mirrors and walls.

• Replenish bathroom supplies as needed

• Request supply order in a timely manner

• Dusts and cleans all exposed surfaces (Shelves, tables, windows) in public and staff area

• Cleans and maintains floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets as needed

• Pick up trash inside and outside; Place recycle materials and bins in a designated location

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance needed; Ensure that all materials and equipment to be used in the department is on hand and in good repair.

• Monthly check of all safety equipment

• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma/ GED

• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

• Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

• Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
