Building Automation Technician

Insight Global is looking for a travelling service technician for a construction engineering company in San Antonio or Austin, Texas. This person will serve as a front-line resource to service technicians through technical support and provides guidance and training to other technicians. This role includes around 85% travel around the San Antonio area and will be provided a truck, laptop and phone to travel to customer sites. Some essential duties included are below.
- Diagnose system performance through observation, testing and setup
- Perform planned maintenance and inspections utilizing hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and device data sheets
- Complete service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls while communicating with stakeholders to customers satisfaction
Coordination of subcontractors and provide guidance to technicians

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience utilizing Building Automation Systems
Expert level in troubleshooting and configuring with Building Automation Systems such as Johnson Controls (JCI), Distech, Siemens, Trane, Inet, Automated Logic, schneider or tridium niagara or any other facilities management, building management, building automation or building controls systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong familiarity with Tridium Niagara
Configuration and troubleshooting experience with distech
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
